2. Teri Garr
A talented comedic actress, Teri Garr is best known for her Academy Award-nominated role in Tootsie, opposite Dustin Hoffman. But the role of her life has turned out to be as an advocate for MS awareness. Garr began experiencing MS-like symptoms during the filming of Tootsie in 1982, but it took her years to get a definitive diagnosis from doctors. In 2002 she publicly acknowledged having MS. "The good news now is that there's a lot of good medicines out there and options for people," she told Larry King.
