Psoriasis in Children

Some experts believe that psoriasis is seen in children who are predisposed to the condition. If one parent suffers from psoriasis, the chances of their child inheriting it increases. Likewise, if both parents suffer from the condition, the chances are greatly increased that it will develop in their child in their younger years.

  • Normal skin cells reproduce in 28-30 days. With psoriasis, skin cells reproduce in three to four days.
