Psoriasis and Milk Thistle

Milk thistle (Silybum marianum), long known for its use in treating liver disorders, is also reportedly effective at treating psoriasis. The active compound in milk thistle has been shown to inhibit T-cell activation and helps in reducing the rate at which psoriatic skin cells divide. Milk thistle is available in tablet or fluid extract as is usually found in health food stores.
