Psoriasis and Baking Soda
Baking soda is sometimes used by psoriasis patients to help alleviate itching during a flare-up. Baking soda can be mixed with bath water to provide total body itch relief. Compresses soaked in a mixture of 1-1/2 cups of baking soda mixed with three gallons of warm water can provide relief to smaller psoriatic patches of skin.
- Baking soda is also helpful in removing dead skin scales associated with psoriasis.
- Baking soda is one of the least expensive treatments available for itchy psoriasis.
- Baking soda has been used for years to relieve itching of all sorts, especially itching associated with mosquito bites and poison ivy.
