Difference Between IBS and IBD

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a gastrointestinal disorder and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a structural disease that breaks down the bowel walls and causes ulcers in the intestines. Symptoms of both IBS and IBD include abdominal pain, cramping, and diarrhea. IBD includes the subtypes of Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
