Burst Appendix Symptoms

Appendicitis is a condition where the appendix becomes inflamed. Undiagnosed and untreated, it may rupture or burst and cause complications such as peritonitis and intestinal abscess. The common symptoms of a ruptured appendix may include sudden relief from abdominal discomfort that can be followed by abdominal distention (rigid board-like abdomen), fever, and moderate to severe abdominal pain.
