Aleve Precautions and Warnings
As with many medications, there are several warnings and precautions associated with the use of Aleve (naproxen). Aleve is in a class of medications referred to as NSAIDs which can increase the risk of stroke, heart attack, kidney damage, anemia, peptic ulcers, and gastrointestinal bleeding. Patients with a history of heart disease, asthma, high blood pressure, nasal polyps, blood clots, liver disease, kidney disease, and those who smoke should use caution when taking Aleve.
